Pompei Pizza - Bayonne

Delicious pizza.... perfect crust and great service

I don't easily give a 5 star rating. Pompeii deserved it. This quaint family ran restaurant greets you right from the door with smiles, warm welcome and that old country brick oven amazement you crave! Their extended menu adds even more reason to sit and stay a while with their pasta and pleasure filled dishes you'll come back for again, ...and again! Bon Appétit!

I used to love coming here all the time and eating their pizza. Today changed everything. I called and ordered for delivery and everything was great. First it was a 40 minute wait time which is completely fine I wasn’t in a rush. They called 25 minutes later but I missed the call. They then called from the store and I answered and it was one of the employees saying that their delivery driver was outside waiting. I then said I am sorry I didn’t see that he called. He then proceeds to say do you want your food ? you have one job to answer the phone , we do all the work for you and then laughs with the other workers. What kind of customer service is that ? I understand the driver was waiting for a few minutes but to be rude on the phone. Horrible

The best pizza in nj hands downi was glad to see the same family that runs it, I hope they always stay the same

Margarita pie was a total disappointment, and the worst I ever had in my life. the sauce had no taste and should be sweet! I thought the cheese was under the sauce, but I think I was wrong because there was no fresh mozzarella all over the dead. I can only say that the crust was good and they were polite. also they were so cheap with in the ground crumb basilikum? on the cake. would not eat there again if the pizza was free.
