We arrived at 7.30 on a Friday evening (opening time), to find the doors still locked. A quiet night for the restaurant, but no choice offered for the tables. Service was ok but a bit slow. Food was ok but more home cooking rather than refined dining. There are many better value for money restaurants in Bayonne.
Were happy to snag a reservation here. Were seated in an uninteresting space upstairs. Service was okay. Food was fine — tuna stew, lamb “egg rolls”, beef filet and fig/goat cheese salad. All okay...
This restaurant offers fine food, everything was delicious, the bun, the salads, desserts... . It's the typical refined french twist. Recommended, I would come back. Located just in front of the cathedral.
To start with: it is one of the rare restaurants that is open on a monday. The kitchen is quite good, wines are reasonably priced and the service is frendly. The dessert that I had (creme brulee in 3 varaeties) was very large and too much for me. A positive experience.
