This place is always a good place to stop at Pigeon Lake. The breakfasts are very good. The ice cream selection is excellent. The sandwiches are very good and a nice selection. The desert selection is amazing and they are always fresh. I agree the staff are not always warm and fuzzy but they work at this place every day all year round. The prices are good for the value. This is my first choice for eating at Pigeon Lake.

I needed do grab something quick on my way to an event after staying the night at the village creek Inn. I wish it opened earlier than 8 because I could have sat down for breakfast. However, they whipped up a breakfast sandwich quickly for me and it was very, very good. They had a few different coffee brews available and the first two I started pouring into my cup were full of coffee grinds. Eventually, I went with the regular roast and it was fine, but nothing special and did have a few grinds in it.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to get some pie and ice cream, and found the service to be extremely unwelcoming and rude. When we ordered a slice of pie, it seemed like an inconvenience for the lady to package it up for us. When we tried to order ice cream, she seemed even more annoyed that we were taking up her time. Needless to say, we left without ice cream and will not be back. Tip: Go to Eco Cafe (a few doors down) instead for a much more pleasant experience.

Drive somewhere else to have breakfast. This is not a restaurant. Service and staff leave a lot to be desired. Food greasy and visually unappetizing. The only tasty part of the breakfast was the toast.
