Food is excellent! Update: I'm so sorry you guys have to go. I new to Ohio from Pennsylvania and this was the only authentic deli I knew of this side of Youngstown. I hope one day you all can open up shop again. You will be greatly missed
Permanently Closed. Great iconic restaurant closed after 67+ years of service delicious food. It's going to be a whole on Chagrin in Woodmere, Ohio.
I grew up in New York city in the 60’s and 70’s when there were lots of Jewish delis. My go to was (and is) Liebmans in the Bronx. I’ve never had better. Lennys comes close. The pastrami was really good. The corn beef was shaved which is not my style but it was good. The pastries are delicious. The lox was great. The bagels aren’t New York quality but still very good. All delis are pricey but you do get a lot of food. You can easily feed two people from one sandwich. I will go back next time I go to Cleveland.
It's a historic restaurant however of late their prices have went up and their quality of food has gone down. Their pastries are always old and hard and my last two visits my rye bread on my cornbread sandwich was stale. I paid almost $40.00 for x2 sandwiches.
