Teds Montana Grill Christiana - Bear

The food was good as always. I usually only come here once a year. Today might be my last time. The three of us came in today at 11:30 which is before the lunch rush. She took out orders and got us our drinks and then it was next to impossible to get anything after food was delivered such as more iced tea or ice for the iced tea. I don't like asking other servers to help when we're not their table but I was getting desperate. Then he wanted dessert which I knew was going to be another thirty minutes after placing the order. I got the check and just went to bar for change and paid cash because I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for the card to be run and the receipt brought back. We got out of there 2 hours later. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Perhaps management should have had one more server or maybe it was the server themselves that was the issue. I like the food but I shouldn't have to beg for more iced tea or ice or wait forever for a scoop of ice cream. I'd have to think twice before coming back or NOT sit in a booth in order to be seen

Nothing about this experience was desirable, but the service was the worst part so let's begin there. There was no wait when we arrived, and we asked for a table for 6 including a high chair and a booster seat. The hostess noted that because they have wooden booster seats, the seats will only fit in chairs but not in booths. She said we would need to wait 30 minutes for her to push two tables together to seat 6. So, we opted for a booth. She then led us to a booth in the middle of the dining room and said that we could not put a high chair on the end because it was in the walkway. Understandable. So we asked if she could seat us at the booth toward the very front of the restaurant where there was no walkway and we could have a high chair. She obliged and we thanked her for working with us. We then waited so long for someone to come take our order that we were discussing leaving and looking up where we would go. (for context, we were just passing through town so don't know the area) A server finally graced our section and paused to greet the table of customers who arrived after us before making his way to us. He offered to take drink orders, and we asked that he take our full order. As long as we'd already waited, we had already culled the internet reviews on our selections and viewed every possible yelp photo. Most of the food came fairly swiftly. My vegetarian mother constructed a meal by ordering 3 sides. They forgot her food so she had a long wait. Spoiler alert: many items were subpar at best. The fries were cool, the broccoli was actually cold (like refrigerated) to the touch, the buttered carrots just seemed to be plain slices of lightly steamed carrot that were still crisp. The only food items enjoyed were: the appetizer nachos (that had bison chili on top). Warning that there are huge slices on jalapeño that were much too spicy for most at our table. the Avalon burger onion rings We will be passing through here regularly for at least the next four years, but we will NOT be stopping at this place again. There was a large party in having a birthday dinner and as we were wrapping up, they were complaining about their wait and the service. Tl;dr I do not recommend this place.

We went to Ted's in Christiana Delaware this week. My husband had the Bison strip steak and I had the Boson brisket. Both were delicious. Our server.Nancy was professional and friendly. We had a great experience and look forward to our next visit.

I've driven past this place so many times, but never stopped in. Today I decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. we sat outside since it was a nice day and enjoyed a burger. They do have different options for the meats, such as bison or regular beef, I decided to stick with beef. It was very tasty and I love the fact that you can get half fries, half onion rings. I would definitely come back to try more things on the menu.

I've been here at least once a week for the past 4 years. All staff and management are wonderful. Person service and food is prompt and fresh. The best chef-prepared restaurant around the Christiana area.
