Tommy's Diner Angers - Beaucouzé

We visited tommy’s in l’atoll on 19. august 2020 at 17:30 18:00 clock. everything started well, there were very few people. we must have arrived during a shift, because there were three employees at first, but then there was only one person...left, who served all customers who started coming. he had to make his own before the house and the back of the house. in the meantime there was a table of employees (6 people,) all eating out the restaurant before their layer stared. not one of them offered to help him or to start her shift a bit earlier. it took 30 minutes to pay and go. it was a shame when eating was quite good and the service of one chap was good, he did his best.

We are a few of a certain age, so please note that if you read this review. tommy is a diner in the traditional American sense of the word. with other words, a burger/breakfast, as many others. what distinguishes. is the ambiente, the music, constant repetitions of 'happy days' and the like, movie star pics and plakate and a 'place mat' detailing what is in the mind of the time. service is always good and eating looks really fresh cooked out and not 'snip and serve ', but I think that depends on what they order. the price is somewhat higher than the average for this type of food, but the whole atmosphere makes it worth it.

We dived here on a Sunday as it was one of the few places open. it is in a place of restaurants and it is quite nice to sit outside. we ordered burgers that were cooked to our wish, milkshakes were also great. you can order 1,2 or 3 burger in a bungalow. unless they have honed 1 or 2 will be enough if they hold for a place, eat or simply visit one by its value.

I was seated outside but then it took a while until someone took my order and a whole lot more until it was clear that it got lost along the way. Once we went in to look for a waitress, she was kind enough to...apologize and immediately promise a discount which is really the best way to handle a situation like this. When the food did show up, (a burger with fries and some onion rings) it was pretty decent and the fries were great, though the hamburger itself was quite small. Considering this was a lunch deal and with the drink refills I guess it was good value for price. The decor is cute but I was mostly impressed with how clean this place, as most diner themed places I know tend to be icky and sticky. So I'm giving it a four mostly because of my appreciation to how they handled my complaint, and because I think some of the other dishes on the menu would probably have been better than what I ordered.

Previously we had been to Tommy's diner 4 times because the food was excellent and the service attentive. In early 2014 we went and the overall experience was just off putting. Arrived early , it took us several minutes longer to get seated despite no...one being there, drinks appeared as and when, the food was delivered piece meal and was not very good quality. Just not a good time
