Hearth Wood Fired Pizza - Beaufort

Was recommended this place for the pizza. It was ok, I got my order to go but did try a slice in my car when it was still hot. IMO not enough toppings or pizza for the price so maybe a better experience if you’re dining in.

Great tasting pizza and a very nice atmosphere. The wood tables are very cool but oddly shaped which makes dining a little weirder lol. My partner and I shared a shroomage pizza and that filled us pretty well.

Flatbread pizza was 5 stars, pasta dishes were 4 stars. Get the pizza

Food was disappointing. We have dined at Hearth Pizza every year for the last 5 years, and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We recently returned with our kids, and were really surprised at the deterioration of food quality. The prosciutto on the charcuterie board was regular ham and the Parmesan was hard enough that it was difficult to chew. The pizza was not even close to what we had experienced in the past. Limp slices, whose dough was nothing like what it had been during past visits. Neither the fennel sausage nor the pepperoni pizza were especially flavourful. Our kids, who usually devour any pizza they come in contact with, barely finished a slice. I’m not sure if they had an exodus of staff or if they just cut back significantly on the quality of ingredients, but I don’t think we will return in the future.

This is our second time coming to the restaurant, food is actually good; as my husband says “That is their Saving grace” but unfortunately we have the same server both times Jared M. Consistently in both occasions he had the same attitude. He passed by us multiple time before he actually stops to let us know that he was our server, and that was after another server let him know that we were sitting there for a while. I have to call him to bring us water, he served me water, but didn’t bother with my husband’s glass. He brought the food minus my salad. The salad came when I was done eating, he actually passed by me with it but kept going to take a plate to another table. I asked another server for the manager and that is when he came and let us know that he was not going to charge us for the food only for the appetizer, he told us he wanted us to have a good experience on the restaurant and to comeback, but that ship had already sailed. We refuse de discount and paid for our food. We are not going to a place to get anything free, we just expect a decent service. I really hope management pays close attention to the way he does his job.
