I got the gumbo soup it was very good, French toast very good, then my dad got the lemon pepper chicken .. there was a hair in his food. Very disappointing, I wanna say it was good, but the hair in the food was a amateur move.
We were seated quickly and Max, our waiter, was very polite and provided prompt and excellent service. The chips and queso was a fantastic opener, and we had the sausage and potato casserole (essentially an elevated biscuits and gravy) and my wife had chicken chilaquiles which was even better. Lots of other brunch options available. Not a huge alcohol selection, but not a big deal to us.Prices were midrange but definitely affordable and we both left full with a take home box. We did end up getting the bread pudding to share, and it was fantastic.
This is a hidden gem that is below almost everyone radar. They don 't stay open every day so it 's good to watch for the days they are open and plan ahead to go. I know everyone knows about the other Bruno 's on Dowlen Rd because they advertise a lot. From what I understand it is the same family (kids run the Dowlen location or maybe Daughter and husband, not sure). This one is parents or grandparents, and it seems they have their own Recipes at this location which seems to make it taste so much better. Not sure if it 's better ingredients or better techniques but we so much enjoyed the meal here more than the other Bruno 's. I am tossed up about letting everyone else know about this place because it like letting someone about your favorite fishing hole, it gets overrun with others and now you can 't enjoy it like you had in the past. But I like it so much I want them to succeed and have enough sales to stay in business. I admit, I stayed away this Little Bruno 's, (the other one I call the big Bruno 's) because I had tried that one several times but the dishes never seems much more than average, so I thought it would taste the same here. I was so wrong, and I 'm so glad were were invited to share an anniversary meal here with friends here so I could try it. Note: they don 't advertise so you have to find this on your own. It is smaller and cozier than the more well know Big Bruno 's, but the meal I had tasted so fresh and wonderful. If you are wondering if it 's the same as the other Bruno 's, give this one a try, this is so much better. This little gem of a place knows how to cook wonderful food. The elder family cooks here know how to make it fresh and delicious.
This is definitely on my regular list... I've always enjoyed the weekend brunches but the week day menu is amazing! The server Porter was so polite, so professional and really amazing knowledge of the menu... I even tried something at his suggestion, that I ordinarily would have been hesitant but, it is just mouth-watering
Our first time to dine here. The food was great as well as the waitress. Excellent service. We will be visiting again.
