Petit restaurant sans prétention dans une rue calme, belle petite terrasse, cuisine simple et régional avec des produits de qualité.

We stumbled upon this nice place while we were visiting the town of Beaumont du Perigord. We did not make any prior research (usually we are planning and looking for good places to eat) so we were just hoping to find something nice to eat, and this I must say was a very good surprise. Food was delicious. We had confit du canard and as desert we had the cake of the day which was an apple tart. To drink i had a glass of Bergerac which was from a local producer.Prices I would consider decent a bit lower than in other bigger cities around. The service was typical for small city, everybody is kind to you and would also get into small talk with you if you speak a bit of french. Not very fast, but on the other hand who is in a rush in their vacations :)If you plan to get here to eat don't come with very high expectations, the place looks decent but it is still a local business from a small city... but that makes part of the charm at least in our opinion. Do try the confit du canard as it was one of the best we had. They also have some menu of the day but since we did not try it I can't give an opinion. We would happily return here on other occasions.
