Food was great and very well priced for the portion sizes. Owner was super polite. Highly recommend stopping in if you?re passing through.
Avoid this place. I?ve spent my life in the service industry and it?s tough to believe someone can be this nasty and stay in business. We pass through beaver creek twice a year, and will never interact with this establishment again. Called on Thursdayand booked a cabin for Sunday night. On Sunday at noon we realized we were making better time than expected, and would be muchbetter off driving another few hours in good weather. There was snow rolling in the next morning and we hoped to avoid it; we?veoften hit bad weather on that stretch and it can be tough. Tried to call and cancel, no answer. Tried again 2 hours later andcaught the owner on her cell. With zero compassion or kindness, she told me I?d pay the cancellation fee which is 100% of theone night we had booked. I explained that we really hoped to get past the snow, and she offered to take it down to a 50% charge.I accepted this even though there was no disclosure of a 24-hour cancellation policy when I booked, or anywhere on her website.A question about this was met with a rude, curt response. We cancelled and she hung up on me. When we drove by, her sign said?no vacancy?, so she clearly didn?t have trouble filling the room after all. The next day a change was posted to my credit cardfor 100% of the room rate. When I called to ask about this and the 50% we?d agreed upon, she said, ?maybe you should try beingnicer? and hung up on me again. I have never had an experience like this. I understand that it?s been a tough couple of yearsfor small businesses along the Alcan, but upon talking to other travelers who pass through this area regularly I discovered thatshe has a terrible reputation. Lesson learned. Stay at 1202 Motor Inn, they?re great.
Working as a superintendant on a bridge project with no internet. I wanted to have dinner and catch up on email and rude waitress advised me that laptop are not allow in the restaurant. I was going to be a paying customer and have dinner and acouple beers while catching up. Not allowing paying customer to have their laptop while eating is the most ridiculous thing Ihave heard. I will never step foot in this place again.
We stayed here in August 2022. Like other reviewers have said, the service was terrible in both the cabins and the restaurant. It seems they stay in business by being one of the few options this close to the border. The cabins are nice enough once youget one, but even that was a hassle. They messed up our reservation and gave one of our two cabins to someone else, then angrilycleaned a third cabin when we insisted they honor the reservation. Even the cabin that supposedly was clean and ready for us hada dirty coffee maker (used filter, old coffee in carafe). Still, we spent the night. Shower and bed were fine. The nextmorning, we were ignored at the restaurant. When we asked for a table, we were told angrily to wait. Empty tables were full ofdirty dishes that no one cleaned. Eventually, we stacked some dishes so we could sit down and wait. Still, no one took thedishes or acknowledged us. When we overheard they were out of coffee, we gave up and left. Apparently, the food is good ? but wewill never know.
