I would rate it half a star if I could. Let me explain: their website stated they were open until 9 PM on a Thursday, but when I arrived at 6:45 PM, they were closed. This is the third time I've gone there during their posted hours and found them shut. I'm done trying to order from this particular Subway since their hours seem unpredictable every day. The food might be good, but I guess I'll never find out.
The store was unexpectedly closed in the middle of a Friday afternoon, yet they kept their ordering option available on the Subway app. Unaware of their closure, we placed an order for sandwiches and completed the payment. However, when we arrived at the store, we found a paper sign on the door indicating that it was closed. As a result, I had to wait until Monday to resolve the issue since the store doesn’t operate on weekends. When I called the manager on Monday with my order number to arrange for pickup, I was informed that there was no record of our order. The manager neither offered an apology nor was willing to fulfill our order or refund our payment. This situation is unacceptable and likely illegal.
This is the second time I have been to this subway and they have not been open. The website states they are open but no one there.
I want to address this directly to the owner rather than posting publicly. We visited the Subway located in the Chippewa Shopping Center, next to a rehabilitation center. As we were entering, we encountered an older woman leaving with a bag of sandwiches—without a mask on. Behind the sandwich-making area, there was a young woman who had her mask partially on—covering mostly her mouth but not her nose. To her left, near the register, was another young woman who also wasn't wearing a mask. When I inquired about her mask, she asked if I wanted her to wear one. Feeling uncomfortable, we decided to leave. On our way out, we noticed there were no signs indicating that masks were required. It’s particularly concerning that this was the day with the highest reported COVID-19 infections in Pennsylvania. It’s truly disappointing for the owner of this franchise to not enforce mask-wearing in such critical times.
