Fishermans Chip Shop - Bedford

This is the best takeaway option in Bedford. It's the only place I order from because they always provide generous portions, delicious food, and have friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

The chicken burger was soggy and the bun was also soggy due to an excess amount of sauce. Additionally, the 3 beef and onion pies were cold. It is disappointing that the food was not heated properly, as it shouldn't be too difficult to microwave it. Overall, my kids and I were unhappy with the cold, soggy food and chips.

The seating is very basic with only two stalls, one of which is broken. The fish is very nice and fresh, but the batter can be inconsistent - some crispy, some soggy. The chips are average. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable, but not exceptional. I wish they offered Rock (Huss) in addition to Cod and Plaice. Overall, it's slightly above average for the area, considering there aren't many fish and chip shops in Bedford. I plan to return in the future. The food hygiene rating is 5 out of 5.

Owner of the establishment was very welcoming and seemed very proud of his food which was reassuring. Let us try various meats which was also appreciated. Food was wonderful, best takeaway I’ve had from bedford. My only complaint is that my chips were missing, my partner received hers but I didn’t get mine so I lost a few pounds, but thankfully the portion size was good and I didn’t miss them too much. Would definitely come again, just a shame about the chips.

I have already ordered a good time food from this wonderful facility and cannot praise it enough. large eating, large portions delivered immediately, the owner and his personal are welcoming and accommodating. Top people supply excellent eating right away.
