The Embankment - Bedford

I waited too long to visit The Embankment, and I'm glad I finally did! We went there for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly prepared Eggs Benedict. The staff was polite, the service was good, and the restaurant was clean. Located next to the river, the ambiance was delightful. I definitely plan on going back for lunch to explore more of what this place has to offer. I highly recommend The Embankment!

Fantastic location, friendly staff and a great diversity of food and drink available. Whilst the rooms are of an ok standard, they are somewhat dated and in need of some TLC. Air conditioning would also be of some good use, especially during an August heatwave. Having said that, they did supply fans. The real issue is with parking; they really should prioritise guest who are staying in the hotel, which they didn’t do at all.

We had a fantastic experience celebrating my mother's 50th birthday at this restaurant last night. Everything was amazing, from the warm welcome to the excellent service provided by Katie. She was fantastic and very helpful in accommodating my mother's and sister's allergies, and she was attentive throughout our meal. I ordered the lamb cannon, which was cooked perfectly, and everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Thank you to the chef and the team at the restaurant for a memorable evening!

We went for drinks only waited 40 mins for a hot drink. My partner had 2 pints whilst I was still waiting! Staff couldn't cope with the volume of drinkers perhaps more staff and another coffee machine are worth investing in. When enquiring where my hot drink was and asking politely I received attitude and told they were busy I had to be patient and wait. Will not return.
