And when we got the menu, they came to us next minute to get the order. We told them to check on us in a few minutes and no one came until we waved at them to come over and take our orders. Overall the ambience was too loud but it's acceptable given it was NYE. But there's no reason to keep the music and bass so loud when people are eating. It makes sense in the after party though. Food was decent, there were some hit and miss. Paneer maska dish we ordered was like eating a dessert. And biryani could've been evenly spiced. It didn't taste great. Not worth for the price. Nimoni tikki was like eating a poorly put together mashed potato. Overall I'd day not worth the trip from Boston and paying the premium.
Tashan as the name means is only style but no substance. Their spread did not have any soup and the other starters (fritters) were soggy. Biryani was bland. They charged every small kid in the group even though some did not eat. Also for the we paid, we expected at least the breads to be served on the table. We felt the decor was good but there is more to fine dining than just the ambience. They did not refill the naans and several guests were waiting. They also took some nudging to get new plates. Again my money is worth more in other restaurants than Tashan.
Try good and authentic Indian food! Buffet had a ton of choices and was delicious.
Excellent dishes by new addition, Chef Paddy Rawal, of FoodNetwork fame. Can't wait to return in the New Year!
Incredible buffet! We have celebrated my parent’s anniversary at Tashan for the past 3 years, and it is always an enjoyable experience
