Alpen Restaurant Bar - Beech Mountain

A NEED to visit PLACE This restaurant is a place I visit everytime... if I can get in. They’re Black Pepper steak is great. My dad orders the Shrimp scampi every visit. He stated it’s the best he’s ever eaten in his life. The servers are consistently on top of their game.

Beautiful setting and delicious food. We had a trout and a chicken dinner, both cooked to perfection. There is a decent selection of good wine. I highly recommend this place!

Three of us went here tonight and we really enjoyed it! All 3 of us had the crab bisque and it did not disappoint, delicious! We also had the shrimp cocktail. My 2 sons had lemon trout, I had the filet steak. Everything was great. Our server Brooke was on the money and cute as a button :

I wish we were spending more time in Beech Mountain to be able to return here. We came in for a few drinks, sat at the bar. We were one of a few people in there when we first walked in but every table was set and had a reserved sign on it. We ordered a crab cake to share, you can always tell how good a restaurant is by their crab cake, and it did not disappoint. The menu said pan seared but it was deep fried and I was very okay with that. It was delicious!

We enjoyed a romantic, unexpected dinner here last night (due to the winter storm that delayed our trip home). The pecan encrusted trout (minus honey) and salmon were fabulous, as were the carrots and other sides!
