More like a family run cafe than a professional restaurant but the staff and owners are nice enough. Don't expect much from the wine list as it is pretty average and prices are very high for the quality and selection. Location is really good and the outdoor area is excellent for breakfast on a sunny spring morning. Coffee is good.
The food was good, my husband didn't get the pizza he ordered but he accepted the one he was given anyway. There were 8 of us. Oysters were lovely and fresh. My Americano Pizza was really good, crust thin and beautifully crisp. Pasta and risotto dishes were good as was the veal. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, if any crit it would be the noise but the restaurant was full so that is a good thing. Manager was helpful and memorised our choices from start to finish. I would not hesitate to visit again.
I haven't been here for a long time but decided to try somewhere close to come! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal which was veal. Fresh vegetables accompanied our mushroom and white wine veal plus potato. The gelato to follow was excellent! Atmosphere was good although I am told when the restaurant is full it is quite noisy, tonight however was fine!
I have developed the habit of regularly having breakfast at Toni Bassi's fabulous Ravello restaurant in Beecroft. Toni is aware of my dietary 'needs' and has designed what he calls the 'Mikie' breakfast. It is a very reasonably priced, generous and healthy meal based on a variety of stir-fried vegetables, with a choice of prosciutto, chicken or smoked salmon, all encased in a fluffy omelette. The 'Mikie' is accompanied by Toni's own fresh wood-fired bread. Inevitably, the breakfast is too big for me and I have the remainder for lunch!
I love the atmosphere at Ravello. The hum of conversation, the sparkle of spontaneous laughter and the oh so wonderful aromas wafting quietly around the tables. The spirit of the staff is lively, funny and above all focused on providing an outstanding dining experience. The menu is impressive with an understandably Italian/Mediterranean bias.Bravo Ravello.
