The modern, pavilion-like construction does not want to be right to the surrounding architecture from the beginning of the 20th century. But it has the advantage that it is a light-filled construction through the large windows. For automotive visitors there is a small public parking in the adjacent street “Am Lustgarten” between the café and the Diesterweg School. The name of the café indicates its operator/owner: it is the Beelitzer Spargelhof Josef Jakobs, who runs further locations next to the Spargelhof. There is a large guest room in the café, which is modern and practical. You can also sit in the outside area, which is a doubtful pleasure through the passing federal road and the nearby intersection with traffic lights. The “Jakobs” does not have its own toilets. The free public toilet is used on the back of the building. The service was fast, attentive and friendly. The card consists of a clamping board with several leaves, a practice that is probably increasingly applied lately. It is also practical – if something changes (e.g. prices: you don't have to print a completely new card, there are new leaves. Offered are a small meal and snack offer as well as seasonal offers. Of course, the asparagus from its own production is the first. There are also coffee and cakes and ice cream, the latter also “to go”. I wanted ice cream and could choose between an ice cup or one of the few standard cups from the map. I chose a straw beaker (2x vanilla , 1x straw beer, whipped cream, fresh strawberries and topping for 5,50 €uro as well as a milk coffee (2,90 €). The waiting period was short, ice cream and coffee were very good and delicious. Conclusion: Beautiful cafe – happy again.
Somewhat overloaded staff at well visited cafè, yet very exhausting and friendly.
Bad customer support! after 20 min. Waiting time without even getting a look, we went back! personal is completely overwhelmed, there are no clear structures that everyone does everything! people always came in to ask for the bill or to ask when they are served. There were only 4 tables inside and 3 tables outside occupied. the laufkundschaft an der eistheke has priority, no matter how long people wait for the tables. there are clearly clear structures in the personal domain. Even I know as a layman that everyone should have its fixed work area that only makes drinks and cakes, one that only makes ice and 2 people who only serve the tables and not 3 people who do everything at once. something can't work! we went to the steak house, were served very friendly and fast! for us this was the first and last time!
The worst ice cream I experienced so far, there were loud ice crystals, served with a coffee spoon, there were no napkins, not even to the cake.... Not recommended!
Nice little cafe in good location and all kinds of treats for every taste.Even in the outdoor area very nice to sit.Should you definitely visit!
