The fish did not meet our freshness standards, the chips were mediocre, and the hot dog was strange. We ended up giving everything to the dog, who enjoyed it. I believe that the quality is acceptable for extra items, but it may not meet the expectations of New Zealanders.
During our journey home from the coast to Brisbane, we stopped at 7 Seas restaurant after hearing good things about their quality and service. We were not disappointed! The staff greeted us with smiles and provided prompt service. We ordered a variety of snapper dishes (they had different types of fishing available) and our grandsons were thrilled to see dagwood dogs on the menu, which they enjoyed immensely. We sat outside at the tables and chairs, and our food was brought out to us promptly. The presentation of the dishes was lovely, and Maz, one of the owners, even brought out some delicious deep-fried mozzarella sticks for us to try. The young ones devoured the dagwood dogs and also enjoyed the fish, calamari, and chips. Overall, a great dining experience with options for grilled fish as well.
Sat today for the first time and had crimped barramundi flake with 1 serving chips. it is rare to find a fish and chip shop that makes big fish and chips. well done that we're back and tell our friends.
