Lu Jie offered me some candy to enjoy with my tea, while Yuan Jie gave me a taste of her homemade Baozi since I mentioned my love for Chinese rolls. She even stepped outside to help me navigate the bus system to my next destination. Although the restaurant mainly specializes in homemade cosmetics and candies like mooncakes, I was hoping for more food options. However, I may have overlooked the small selection due to the exceptional generosity and kindness of the owners. I would rate it 4 stars due to the limited food offerings, but it is definitely worth a visit, especially for vegan diners.
This store is not exactly a grocery store, as they mainly focus on cosmetics and clothing. However, when I mentioned in my broken Chinese that I was vegan, they graciously gave me vegan sausages, eggs, Baozi, biscuits, and other snacks for free! I was pleasantly surprised by their generosity. I spent 3 hours there chatting with them about various topics, despite my limited Chinese language skills and reliance on our smartphones for communication. It turns out that China has strict laws regarding animal testing and the use of natural ingredients in their products. The staff were honest, kind, and lovely people. You must visit this place! I ended up purchasing some shampoo and facial cleanser, which seem to be of good quality. It appears that the happycow app had the wrong location listed, so make sure to search for the store by its Chinese name.
During our trip around the world, my husband and I stumbled upon this incredible store using this app. I usually struggle to find vegan food, so when we discovered it was nearby, we decided to check it out. What happened next was truly amazing. Despite the fact that I couldn't understand the Chinese labels on the food, the elderly owner used Google Translate to communicate with me and offered us some delicious vegan treats and high-quality tea for free. To our surprise, we found some vegan clothing as well. The owner was so generous, offering us even more delicious vegan food including fresh vegetables, vegan chorizo, and incredible vegan roasted eggs. Everything was exceptional! Not only did they refuse payment, but they also upheld a commitment to selling vegan and eco-friendly products. This shop is a must-visit for anyone wanting to support vegan individuals with big hearts and a passion for sustainability, including their love for dogs.
All vegans and dog lovers must visit this shop! The owner is honestly the sweetest person I met here in Beijing and she has a lovely dog called Sunny that helps her run the store and welcomes customers at the door. Everything's vegan here. They have snacks, clothes, teas and a skin care line that is named after the owners two dogs, Sunny and Goody. There are pictures of both dogs around the shop and the owner was friendly enough to share some wonderful tea and vegan snacks with us as soon as we went in the door. I would recommend this place to everyone!
