Vieux Pont - Belcastel

Belcastel is a beautiful, calming place and we have been visiting for 14 years now. We were there last year just before the end of September and we felt like we had it to ourselves in beautiful weather. The food and service we have had at the Vieux Pont has never been anything but excellent. As vegetarians, they have always accommodated us brilliantly. The best way to enjoy a visit, I think, is to have dinner and stay in the rooms they have over the bridge. We had a really lovely stay and dinner earlier this month. Everything was as delightful as it always is. It has been a truly terrible time for hospitality businesses so it was a really pleasing to see the young and thoroughly professional team that the proprietors have developed giving excellent service in a full restaurant. The cooking was superb, the rooms are comfortable and spotless, and breakfast is a ‘tour de force’! Give it your all and skip lunch.

We have been waited several years as this restaurant is always super busy...and rightly so, as it is absolutely delicious; it is also very healthy and light combining great flavours; the service is super friendly and professional. the only thing we are not a big fan is the design and decoration of the main room but we will be back

We have travelled more than 100 km to arrive in this beautiful village that welcomes this starry. But the move was worth the candle. We were placed near the bay (as we had asked) and were pleasantly surprised by the contemporary decoration and taste... and live the star menu at 33 euros. the amuse mouths are up to the height (evil glazed of fennel in excellent gaspacho) and the following dishes are perfect! 2 flats: the safran aperitif was a bad choice (the house recommends it but we did not like it) and the dessert peaches were not ripe. Too bad. but despite everything we had a great time with our napkin who was sparkling in good mood. the cook had left his stoves and exchanged a few words with us when we left.

Congratulations to the Fagegaltier mme for his ever-renewed and mastered cuisine, which made us spend an unforgettable moment! Thank you and congratulations for your inventiveness and your team always listening and very professional.

From the bay, we see the large trees that line the aveyron river gently bow on the old stone bridge. In the dining room, a refined cuisine delights the palate and the eyes. smiling staff, fiery atmosphere. wonderful memory of a birthday.
