Contribuisci feedbackI had a reservation for dinner there in the evening, but when I arrived, the restaurant was closed. Staff from a nearby restaurant informed me that the place had been closed for three weeks and that they hadn’t shown up at all, yet they still allow bookings on their website. Quite disappointing!
This place was not even open when I could give him 0 stars. I made a booking online and placed myself at a closed location. not happy
While the food was good, the service was ordinary. One of our main courses was forgotten had to be chased up, the same with the coffee order. We had to ask multiple times for an initial bottle of water for the table. Don't order a carafe of the house red.....it tasted like port was pretty sickly. Also because it has tiled floors, the noise level was horrendous, especially as there were several large groups of children.
So disappointing. I approached the bar to make a simple request for my partner was told by the bar tender (and also manager) to sit down and put the request through my waitress- the same one who had gotten multiple orders from our table wrong! Following that I was using the ladies bathroom and a male staff member came in and started cleaning! Let's just say it was a new experience to pay money and be treated like a three year old.
My wife and I are from New York and we are spending several weeks in the Surry Hills section of Sydney. We had dinner at L'Artista the other night and thought that it is definitely the perfect neighborhood type restaurant. The staff is friendly, the place is cozy and the food was excellent. We will definitely return before the end of our extended stay of four months in Australia.
