Vegetarian with vegan options. menu changes every month, but they can always have a day of the week with maniçoba, a traditional dish of belem. they have a starter, main dish, a glass juice and a small dessert for the menu of the day (in the rule with 2 options).
Food was tasty and a seemingly interesting take on Indian food. Fairly well priced for what you get, including a drink. Friendly staff. They also sold pies, pastries and other interesting takeout foods which we stocked up on for our 5 day ferry to Manaus.
On the way to a new restaurant we usually guess the price of the complete menu. We underestimated what was the most expensive vegetarian meal we've had in Brazil. The decor is nice here, there are two food options each day, rotated weekly. The service is average for Brazil: we advised we were vegan, the deserts that we'd been given were not vegan we had to question this before it was rectified. The food was not abundant although a nice variety and each delicately flavoured. Where we'd had a completely comparable meal last week for half the price, there was no coffee here and the free tea was already mixed with milk, probably in the style of Indian chai, but nevertheless not for vegans. This isn't a place for dining regularly, and we shan't be returning, but we appreciate this as a vegetarian option if looking for something novel in Belem. For us it felt too much like a business and not personal enough, we weren't totally satisfied when handing over our money.
