This restaurant has been around for many years and is officially known as The Hungry Hound 2, with two locations on Ormeau Road from back in the day. Many places claim to have a "proper" chippy, but this one truly delivers. They serve fresh fish, delicious chips, and juicy burgers. The staff really know what they're doing — they're quick and efficient. There are plenty of promotions displayed on the walls, so be sure to look around before deciding what to order. They also have flyers for the latest events to read while you wait. It's fantastic!

The restaurant may not have the best appearance, but it serves the best fish and chips in Belfast. The generous portion of chips is perfect for sharing between two adults and a child.

There are chip shops, chippys and other such sites that sell deep fried kartoffels and a lot of protein-based broken lines. but no one can agree with the hungry hound 2. quality is a thing, and this place does quality, but consistency is the byword for excellent and this place provides consistently, week after week, month after month, year after year. no wonder that the people of all the norths claim such excellent.

Great place for fish chips. Even better they sell smoked cod freshly cooked when requested. My go to chippie in Belfast.
