The Sunflower - Belfast United Kingdom

I almost hesitate to share this secret, but the Sunflower is easily our favorite pub in Belfast. It offers the best prices, great music, and a welcoming crowd. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Visiting Belfast w a dog in tow, Vinny (the aforementioned dog) needed a place where he could get tons of attention whilst I watched the rugby. Recommended in another place as one of two dog friendly places in the city, in we rolled. Small room and w bar w many local craft ales, including a delicious porter from Yardbird. Vinny chilled out on a seat, was petted and served water. He even made a new doggy friend. We watched the rugby and chatted w locals. Great craic and very mellow. In the yard outside they serve pizzas on the weekend which looked good. We left before the apparently great live music, but only as Vinny needed dinner. One day we'll be back for that...

Great wee pub tucked away in the back streets of Belfast. My first time going here and I was pleasantly surprised at the homely atmosphere this pub has. There was a traditional band playing in the corner and it took me a while to realise that it wasn't a background tape as they were very unassuming and not loud and in your face which I loved. I have been told there is amazing pizza and a great beer garden to investigate which I unfortunately didn't get a chance to experience this time but something I will definitely be going back to.

Lovely place. So chilled. Feels like home. It's dead casual. Like a wee tucked away back street Belfast secret. Outdoor space is big with decent amount of seating. The pizza from the pizza oven outside is good. Fab to have food handy. Could do with more heaters outside and maybe even some blankets. The decor has lots of irish history stuff.

Art hub just outside the cathedral quarter. Gigs, stand up, poetry jams and movie nights happen here. Its an old school pub with the usual interior. There is also an outside courtyard. I heard that this place is closing due to city developments which would be #Sad
