We really liked this place and seems we weren't alone. Every night we passed here, it was full. Food was excellent. There is also a section in the plaza for just drinks and light snacks that was very popular.
I was proud to take my south african friend to enjoy french hospitality on a sunday afternoon in Belfort, before heading back to the airport, and one of the very few places opened on a sunday was the Saint Christophe. As it was quite hot (36 degrees), we wanted to sit in the shadow, and the only free tables left in the shadow were the tables in front of the restaurant. The waitress advised us that the space was reserved for dining only, but as we could only stay for 30mn, she let us stay. Her colleague brought us the menu and we were ready to choose. It was 6.30pm The manager of the restaurant came to take our order, but as we were not having a full dinner, told us we couldn't stay at the table, just for drinks and ice cream. We kindly explained we were here only for 30mn, and he replied that either we had to move to their other tables in the sun or we should leave. So we left. instead of sitting there for half an hour, and making this half hour worth 30€.My friends and I were truely appalled by this lack of business acumen and hospitality.I would definitely not recommend anyone to go when they are getting ready for dinner time!
Unfortunately we had such a long wait...ca 1hour.The St.Jacques with curry spagehetti was absoutly tasteless!, what a dissapointment. The staff were friendly but only reacted after we complained. We had to watch people who arrived after we did enjoying their meals. We spend a weekend each month in Belfort, have had mostly good experiences but will not return to St.Christoph
