My wife and I came to John Day for our tenth anniversary. We've never been to John Day, so we had to choose where we have our special dinner. This dinner we had the Copper Cricket and Oscar Filet) exceeded our expectations to the extent that it was one of the best, most memorable we ever had. Excellent, perfect. If this place was in Portland, you can't come in. We made reservations for tomorrow night. Thank you for making our anniversary special.

The best steak I've had for years! I almost gave up ordering Steak in a restaurant because I was more often than not, I felt I had been better from cooking for me at home. The Snaffle Bit has redeemed my faith! My wife, who I brought to dinner on a Friday night without reservation, and we're right there. We celebrated our 10-year anniversary on an impromptu journey from Bend through Painted Hills to Prairie City. Our hosts and servers were very friendly and fun to speak. My wife ordered a pendleton, neat, and they were very generous with casting (about a triple, I would say). We ordered and shared an Oscar tenderloin with shrimps, buttons mushrooms, asparagus, blue cheese, cheddar garlic potatoes and garlic bread. Every bite of every selection on the plate was decadent and heavenly. The steak was perfectly boiled (mid rare, as desired), and the blue cheese was velvety and smooth. The garlic potatoes were heavy on garlic, as I like, and they were not sticky or excessively fluffy. We were really impressed by the food and give our compliments to the cook. As of Bend we have many good restaurants to choose from and could be regarded as food. Food at Snaffle Bit IS GOOD. Very good. The service was very good and we loved the rustic, peasant atmosphere. We're coming back! Thank you for making our anniversary so much special!

My family took me there for my birthday and it was excellent! The food was delicious! We ordered a variety of items like the Exploded bay shrimp potato bowl and the copper cricket steak. We wouldn't have asked for a more delicious meal. Thank you! Oh, and the blackberry limonade was also delicious.

I'm very picky when it comes to food. The Snaffle Bit meets every point. Great service. Great food and I loved the ambience. I'll be back next year when we're in Oregon.

Great spot to grab some good Chinese food. They are quick and the food is good. They will be our go to for Chinese food in North West Arkansas.
