River Bistro - Bellaire

A budget-friendly spot to grab a bite after a day on the slopes. The service was friendly and the food was good, although it was a bit chaotic since it was New Year's Eve.

We sat outside and waited for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. The server came to check on a nearby table, but it seemed like no one noticed our presence after we were seated. It didn't feel like the restaurant was busy enough to justify such a wait, as there were only about 10 tables occupied in total. We ended up leaving.

In my opinion, there was a noticeable lack of teamwork among the staff. As for the room, it was disappointing. I had specifically booked a room at the summit, as I clarified during my reservation call, expecting a higher-level room with a view of the water. I even called the day before our arrival to ensure we would receive the room I reserved. I also requested an early check-in. When we arrived at 3:30 PM, we watched numerous families check in before us, only to be finally checked in at 5:20 PM. We were given a room at the summit with a view of concrete and a smoke-filled area below. I voiced my concerns to Winnie, and she graciously moved us to a room in Cedar Village. Although this room was more expensive and a suite, she did not charge us the difference. That said, this room also had its issues—it needed some updates, the mattresses should be replaced, and the balcony was covered in spiderwebs. I don’t want to be overly critical, but honest feedback is necessary for a resort at this level. We were really looking forward to this vacation, and honestly, it did not meet our expectations.

Location is beautiful with view of the 18th green. the food was perfectly cooked and had great taste. service was amazing.
