Bake Shoppe - Belleville

I absolutely love the Bake Shoppe! They always greet you with a smile and offer amazing treats for my husband. They are incredibly accommodating and willing to go above and beyond for special orders. I needed doughnut holes for my daughter's kindergarten class (just 50), so I sent my husband to ask if they could be ready on time. They informed him that they don't usually make doughnuts the way they prepare them but said, "No problem!" and offered to use their equipment to make them. Who does that these days, especially for a small $10 order? They ended up making 100 doughnut holes instead of the 50 I requested and even insisted we didn't have to pay extra. The kids loved them, and there were enough to share with another classroom! Now my daughter’s 6th birthday is coming up, and I can’t wait to see what they create for her. I’m so excited to taste it! I can’t recommend this bakery enough. Their products are delightful, their hours are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the staff are the best. I feel so lucky to live near such a fantastic place!

I picked up a snack box for my office holiday celebration, and everyone was absolutely impressed! It was delicious!

Ignore the negative reviews. The only bad feedback seems to come from the same family, who clearly had a bad experience. I’m not sure what happened with them, but I doubt it was anything serious. If it were, wouldn’t the police have been involved? Anyway, the person running the place is quite remarkable, and if you saw her, you’d understand. I’ve been visiting for years, and every time, the cakes and treats are absolutely fantastic! They even allow walk-ins and will decorate your cake while you wait—good luck finding that at a local bakery! I’m not exaggerating when I say she’s incredibly skilled. The staff are the friendliest people I’ve encountered in the business, and I’ll continue to choose them for all my celebration needs, and even for casual cravings. Definitely try their new pizza, and I highly recommend the cherry cake—it's delicious!

Fine. I am really surprised to read the negative reviews. Although I never ordered a cake from here, I love getting a box of goodies on weekends. Everything is delicious and very cheap, especially for the nature of the treats. There are things I wouldn't have ever thought about before, and my friend LOVES's cake doughnuts.

One of my coworkers actually recommended this place to me, and man am I glad I went! What a wonderful, cute little bakery!! They have such beautiful little cakes, we were so surprised! The last “independent” bakery we had gone to only had 2 cakes on display, but this place had a FRIDGE FULL!! But don’t just stop in there for their cakes, you have GOT to try one of their donuts, fritters, puffs… pretty much EVERYTHING, one of everything in there! Their food is honest, phenomenal, and delicious. And the people that work there, they’re absolutely awesome. So patient with my indecisiveness, and so kind! Thank you guys for a wonderful experience! I would recommend you guys to EVERYONE everywhere hands-down.
