I've been coming to Pitkins since 1967, for great breakfasts, and for great BBQ pork and beef, broiled trout and outstanding desserts. The new owners expanded but in ways that preserved the vibe. Three visits in October (one dinner, two breakfasts) and all met my best hopes. Best blueberry pancakes anywhere. The pie was great, and the BBQ sauce is still Randy Rice's recipe, I'm sure. One big plus is the addition of an outside dining patio.
We ate breakfast here two days in a row. Friendly service, good food, newly renovated restaurant. Highly recommend.
Stopped there today after a drive through the Adirondacks. We had been here years ago, and were thrilled to see all the changes that have been made. Beautiful inside, and ample outside seating. I ordered the onion soup and a Reuben, my husband ordered the tomato basil soup which was the soup of the day, with the pulled pork Reuben. Very tasty, corned beef was lean, pulled pork had an nice amount of sauce. Service was friendly and fast. Look forward to returning to this gem.
Stopped here on our way home from a camping trip. Bridget was our waitress and cook. She did fabulous and was very personable. I had a Reuben omelet that was AMAZING!!! It’s a tiny diner, but it’s good food and has great customer service!
