Went for the nachoes (chicken) on a Saturday night. They came quickly, the portion was big and the service was friendly. There was also live performer playing some nice music. Great experience.
We came to the boathouse on a winter night and almost turned away because it looked not too inviting from the outside. When we got in, we were very pleasantly surprised the place was beautifully decorated, cozy, and it felt as if you're on a boat because the water was right outside the window of the booth where we were sitting. It's the kind of place where you could be surrounded by a lot of people but still have enough space for an intimate dinner, since there are three or four rooms and a lot of booths. They have a very rustic looking lounge with a fireplace and some couches and armchairs, which looks more like a sitting room in a lodge than a restaurant. The food that we had was good the seafood platter for 1 2 people was definitely more than enough for 2. There was a salad selection for people looking for healthier alternatives, and I found that an appetizer sized salad with chicken was all I needed to eat. We liked the service too the waitress was friendly, and very accommodating to all my various requests.
A really nice restaurant right on the waterfront in downtown Belleville. We came as a group of 4 on a Friday night without a reservation, and lo and
