Not too impressed I completely understand there was a wait it is essentially next to or in a church so Sunday was busy. However my surprise was they were out of chocolate syrup so no hot chocolate I( do not drink coffee)then I chose one of the other non coffee options a lemonade nope the third option was an Arnold palmer (but no lemonade)so when 2 out of 3 don't drink coffee nothing else to do but leave. The guy behind the coffee machine was grumpy and I was riding the high of meeting up with my dad the guy acted like he didn't care for the business . So maybe business was good who knows won't be going back. The poor lady on the register was really sweet and made sure to apologize for taking time to actually make food. Who does that she was really sweet though. Anyways just be prepared for a wait and a grumpy batista
Came in at 1:45pm on a Sunday. They said they were closing the kitchen 1hr and 15 mins early. This was nowhere to be found online. We drove from Seattle to grab coffee and an avocado toast here and were greeted with this surprise. Don’t waste your time. Go to the Redmond location.
I was rather surprised when we got our coffees they didn't taste very good but it was consistently bad between the cups that we had so maybe we got a bad batch but not my grind. The service was decent it was a clean store and service was friendly and quick but the food just tasted weird and the coffees tasted like they had some kind of weird flavor put in them. How do you have a weird flavor in just two black coffees in that same flavor shows up in a caramel latte and an espresso. That way I can really describe it is if you go to drink your cup of coffee and it tastes almost exact same except it's decaffeinated and you're waiting for the caffeine to kick in and nothing happens. So then you also notice that the decaffeinated Coffee which you thought was normal coffee also taste weird. Whatever beans they use I'm not a fan we won't be back
At the very least, a restaurant should meet customer expectations, and unfortunately, Five Stones fails to do so. A little over a month ago, I reached out to the owner with my observations: avocados are often unavailable, online ordering is unreliable, the toaster was out of service, and they stop serving toast an hour before closing, which was stated to be standard practice. The owner was friendly and mentioned they were going through management changes and would address my concerns. After giving it a month to see if any improvements were made, I returned multiple times. Unfortunately, on three separate occasions the lemonade was unavailable, but I still wanted to give them another chance. Today, however, after not finding lemonade in stock for two weeks, I visited again and, unsurprisingly, they were out. I learned that their lemon squeezer was broken. My second choice, a chai tea latte, was also unavailable, as was the avocado toast. They informed me that avocados are only delivered on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. I took a photo of the sign listing all the missing items for reference. I didn’t order myself a drink but did get my partner's coffee. I also ordered a pesto toast, but at 8 AM, the employee had to ask another staff member if they were serving toast at that moment, which suggests a lack of organization and consistency. On another occasion, I attempted to visit an hour and a half before closing to get avocado toast, only to find a sign stating they were short-staffed and closing early. I'm fortunate that my office is nearby, but if you're considering ordering from Five Stones, I would advise calling ahead to confirm the availability of items to avoid wasting a trip. The food and drinks are excellent when I can actually get them—about 20% of the time—but I can’t keep coming back when I'm continually let down by what’s supposedly on the menu.
