Firenze Italiano - Bellevue

I dined at Firenze shortly after returning from a trip to Florence IT and I found the Bellevue restaurant to be a welcome reminder of the great food and wine I had enjoyed in the “real” Firenze. The mozzarella in the Caprese salad was exceptional and both pastas we ordered (a ravioli special and the lasagna) were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The wine list is very good though much of it is pricey. Still we enjoyed a moderately priced Chianti that was as good as those in Tuscan restaurants. The service was friendly and attentive very good experience. I look forward to returning!

This is a very well run family owned restaurant. Authentic Northern Italian Food and the owners are always happy to see you.

Not a bad restaurant overall but I got the feeling, based on questions I asked, that most of the food was brought in externally. It's the type of place where someone pulled in all the elements of an Italian restaurant (ambience, menu, wine selection), but didn't bring in the Italian family to run the place and make the food. The desserts were frozen and not made there, most of the food was the same, except for the papardelle pasta special, that was the only pasta made on location. I did like the octopus/potato salad as a starter but the paella was a bit soggier than usual. There's much better Italian restaurants in this price range I'd prefer to visit.

Not a good night for our server. She brought me different entrees before she got it right and my wife's lasagne came tepid. Also, we ordered wine and the pour was about of what a normal wine pour should be. I think Sydney needs to be better trained.

This is the reason I LOVE restaurant week!! They had a great lunch menu that you could choose from I passed on dessert and had the Mozzarella Caprese and the Pesto Cheese ravioli I also paid to get their homemade bread basket. It was well worth it! Came with my own bottles of Balsamic vinegar and olive oil. A nice touch with it was a little container of Parmesan cheese Very yummy food and great service. I will be back.
