They have very delicious and aromatic teas!! The best Jasmine tea I've ever had. Just one concern is, they served the tea in plastic tea cups that gave off a mothball smell. We could not drink much of the tea until we asked for other cups/glasses. Just be mindful if they serve you tea in those plastic cups. I would highly recommend this place!
An incredible find. Not only is Hakka style food generally rare, such an enthusiastic owner may be more so. The crispy chicken was wonderful, perfectly crisp and not too spicy. The Hakka chow fun had solid wok hay and taste. The owner thanked every table and packed up their take out. The place is tiny but so incredibly clean and organized. Service was very efficient.
Tl;dr delicious food and friendly staffCame here for dinner with some friends and had a great time trying Hakka food! Absolutely delicious in the heart of Bellevue. They also do dim sum which was a surprise, I don't know of too many dim sum restaurants outside of Seattle.
This is a no frills Chinese restaurant in Bellevue (located in uwajimaya plaza). Stuffed tofu and seafood hotpot: They are known for their stuffed tofu with pork which was included in this hotpot dish. Came with fish fillets and small pieces of scallops as well as veggies. I loved the flavor of this dish and would definitely get it again.Beef Noodle Soup: Good flavor and decent portion. Noodle size and texture was perfect. It even heated well the next day. SIngapore Noodles: Curry flavored vermicelli noodles with pieces of roasted pork and shrimp. The curry flavor was not overpowering but it was a bit on the drier side. They also have dim sum for a decent price. Some dishes are only available on weekends (youtiao and soy milk). Parking: Lots of parking in the plaza.
This is my new favorite place outside of CID to get dim sum! The lines aren't as long as some other places, and the interior and tables are very clean. For food, everything tastes pretty fresh, not greasy at all. It's a little pricier than average for dim sum, around $5 6 per dish, but completely worth it for the flavor and quality imo. Note that they do charge for tea per person, but that's pretty common for dim sum places. We ordered some dim sum classics: Beef tripe Chicken feet Minced pork congee with preserved egg Chinese donuts and sweet soy milk (they have a savory soy milk as well, but I prefer sweet)We also ordered Hakka stuffed pork tofu, which came out hot and sizzling, and everyone else in the restaurant turned their heads like they do when you order sizzling fajitas at a Mexican restaurant. This dish really impressed me in particular, it was my first time trying something like this and it was super juicy and savory, a solid 10/10! I highly recommend everything we ordered!!
