It took 30 minutes to seat us past our reservation time and there were 37 people waiting to be seated. we did not get the booth or tables promised. No accommodations were made for my disability or for our toddler who needed either a high chair or a booth. Once seated at the back of the restaurant which took a while to maneuver through, the manager rudely suggested we move after being seated to a table even further away from the front door and facilities. He said I was blocking the aisle which I informed him was his problem not mine, since we had told them several times in advance we required a table close to the door and out of the way of other patrons. He rolled his eyes and walked away. He didn’t even attempt to resolve their mistakes. The food was disgusting. Cold, overcooked, under seasoned and just a dismal mess for Thanksgiving day, clearly not up to par for their regular fare as I’ve been told. Many other patrons felt the food was very poor quality and taste. There were complaints at nearly every table in our line of vision and within earshot. We saw three tables of people we knew and we all talked about how bad the food was. Other patrons chimed in as we were exiting. Slow service due to the complete disorganization of the front of the house. We were handled by a very kind and friendly server. Thanks to our server for making us feel like people and not numbers like the manager, hostess and person who seated us had behaved. We should not have had to pay for our meal after having been subjected to a clearly overbooked restaurant and hands down the worst meal we have ever experienced. My teenager felt that he could have done better by opening a box of cereal and I hated to agree, but I had to. Shame on you Maggiano’s!
Our family truly enjoys dining at Maggiano's. We've visited your locations in Seattle, San Jose, Costa Mesa, Las Vegas, Denver, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Boston, and Scottsdale. This Thanksgiving, we made the trip from Portland to Seattle for dinner, and our group of seven was very excited. However, I must say we were disappointed with the traditional Thanksgiving food, while the Italian dishes were excellent! Our server seemed overwhelmed and rushed throughout the evening. We felt for him and made sure to give him a generous tip, recognizing the sacrifice service workers make to work on a holiday when they might prefer to be with their loved ones. We appreciate their dedication on these special days. While we will continue to dine at Maggiano's, we may choose to skip holiday meals in the future. After spending over $500 on a family dinner, we would prefer to enjoy your exceptional Italian offerings, which we believe are your specialty.
Thanksgiving at Maggiano's has become an annual tradition for us. We always have such a great time without the hassle of leftover turkey to deal with. The staff is fantastic and the cozy atmosphere is truly enjoyable. Thank you for always being there for us!
Put on my reservation that it was mother in laws birthday, even called in and stated it was going to be in celebration of her birthday. The server did not ask what we were celebrating and usually they do some type of desert for the person and nothing was done. The server was slow, once he gave us the menu and bread he didn’t even put the balsamic down they usually do. I had to ask and he had to get it. Then we ordered our food and had the take home a classic order. Ordered those. Food was great. I paid the check and he said ok see you next time without giving us the take home meals. We had to ask for those. On top of being squeezed into a corner next to a large group that wasn’t happy either. I love Maggianos never had a problem but this was less than ideal. I talked up the place to my visiting mother in law and looked like a fool. Food is great though. This experience just happen to be terrible.
Hadn’t been here before and was surprised. Food and portion sizes were great for the price.
