We waited for a fresh batch, but it was just as tough. They still make fresh dosa, which is great, but the amount of potatoes inside has decreased quite a bit. The coconut chutney was so watered down that I felt I needed a strainer to get the coconut out. Their vegetable dishes lacked flavor, and the meat dishes seemed to have more gravy than actual meat. This place used to be the top choice for a buffet, but sadly, it doesn't hold up anymore.
Additionally, I found their policy on charging infants to be quite unreasonable. In all my experience dining out, this is the first time I've been charged half the buffet price for my infant, who only managed to eat one idly after quite a struggle. They should reconsider their pricing structure for children; otherwise, it might deter families from returning. On a positive note, the food was overall quite good. I particularly enjoyed the tandoori dishes, chicken mughlai, and gulab jamun from the buffet. However, the biryani could have been served hotter.
I ordered chicken tikka masala with rice for delivery. The spice level in the tikka masala was excellent—just right. However, it did have a lot of oil, with small pockets of oil visible throughout the sauce. The chicken was tender and moist, which I appreciated. The naan was quite plain, which I enjoy, but it was a bit chewy; this could be due to the delivery. Overall, it was reasonably priced, but I'm not sure if I would order from here again. I would give it 3.5 stars.
Came here for the lunch buffet with my team. Apparently it used to be a regular for the team and they said how people from Amazon used to come all the way to Redmond for this. Unfortunately we walked in and it seemed a bit dead. The food was pretty average for Indian buffet. It's got a larger variety than I remember seeing at other places though so that's nice to have choices. Most of their chicken dishes is dark meat which I like. When we paid they were good about letting us know that tip was included. I also bought an extra meetha pan for my partner. It ended being like $4 more than what my team members paid making me feel like $4 for a meetha pan is above what other places charge. When I got it for my partner, he said the leaf was too soggy/chewy. The inside was meh.
We were in the mood for dosa an Indian bread made of rice tonight, so decided to come to stop here. We got chilli lollipop, ghee masala dosa, and chicken kothu paratha. The chilli lollipop was okay, and the least of our favorites in what we ordered. The chicken kothu paratha was good, always like it here. The best was the masala dosa, it was crispy and perfectly made. The dosa comes with 3 different chutney's and sambar. The chutney's were really good, the peanut chutney being the standout.
