So I'm waiting to talk to someone about my order in Bellwood on Friday at Gioacchino. Today I spoke to Maria who told me that they can't do anything after I asked why I didn't call the same day. My son got the delivery when I was at a meeting. Anyway, what if you say you can't do anything? I spent $70 on a large filled cheese, sausage, spinach and mushrooms, cavatelli with salad and Calamari. My son and husband complained about the pizza without meat. I thought the Cavatelli was very thick and chalky and the Calamari was too chewing. On today's call I asked for a receipt, but you said they couldn't help me. I assume the explanation that the Cavatelli is supposed to be thick like potatoes I've never had. I just don't order it again. I gave the pizza to my brother who complained about it being meatless. My mother ate the Calamari, so everything is not lost. But customer service!!! What should I do?!!! Not only will you address the food service, but you can also not provide a reception for me to see if I was even charged for the sausage. Maria pointed me to the menu for pricing. Really!!!!
I just tried to put an order for pickup and the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. The order was for a big pizza and wing and she told me the kitchen is closed to 4, which is good I had just ordered the pizza, but instead it just hangs on me. I called back in the hope that there was a mistake or that there was only a worker with a bad day, just to find out that it was the manager. She was very rude again and told me that I didn't listen and brought her employees to hear what I said to prove their point. I work in the food industry, so I understand how frustrating it can be, but it was extremely unprofessional. After that she still thought it was appropriate to argue with me about the phone. My family lives in Bellwood, so we often eat there, but this experience was very disappointing as I would rather support a small business in my city than a large company especially during a pandemic where you think they would be nicer for their customers.
