Berg's Smoked Meat Poutine - BELMAR

Tried out Berg’s Smoked Meat for lunch today (after a stressful visit to the DMV ? . More of a take out place than a restaurant, though they do have tall stools and table along the wall if you choose to stay and eat there. We opted to take out. The sandwiches are generous and the pastrami was tasty, salty, smoky and very tender. You can select how fatty you want your sandwich to be! Street parking.

I love this place. Great people. Great smoked meat and poutine. Saves me having to drive 300 miles to Montreal. I live an hour away and make a special trip from North Jersey to come here.Parking: Easy

I tried Berg's while it was run out of a food truck in Asbury Park.. I have yet to go to the physical location, but my father and I were enormously impressed with the quality of food and service. The montreal meats are excellent. The poutine was fantastic.Most importantly, the owner Kevin is an excellent guy who has brought a taste of Montreal to the Jersey shore. I am excited to see this place continue to grow and thrive. Great work.Give them a visit!

Lovely people lovely food. We ordered some sandwiches for takeaway and the pastrami is out of this world.
