Taqueria El Amigo - Beloit

Went to this establishment due to the great reviews, and was incredibly dissappointed. The drinks were expired by several weeks, the chicken and vegetables were so over cooked that they were tough and chewy. The only good part of the meal were the beans. The staff was very pleasant to deal with though. Food overall terrible quality. Would not recommend.

Best Mexican food in Beloit beans have flavor not muck like the other places

A great place, the food is very good a group of us go for lunch we've been there twice now. Will definitely be going back!

All I can say is,if you don't like to eat here you don't have to make false testimony,I like the food and this people are nice .

Okay, not familiar with the location we enjoy trying to offer the many different restaurants that the area has to offer. In the last 2 years we have approx. 7 8 different Mexican/Hispanian restaurants tried out, and that was, hand down, one of the best so far. It seems to be a man and woman team, the orders, chefs and supplies your order to you. Both are very friendly (not sure how good their English for me is good enough) and the establishment was clean. It's a diner-sized place that has pew-type sessions... probably enough for less than 25 30 people if I remember correctly. We went around the noon, there were some other restaurants when we arrived, held quite a conversation. I ordered a chicken / pollo burrito, which was the expected portion size (because sometimes you can be surprised) and perfectly spiced. I ate half and took the other half to go. Definitely plan to return to lunch in the future.
