The Green Door Tavern - Bemus Point

Terrible experience. I ordered the chicken wings and only received 9 out of the 10 wings promised in a single order. In addition, I did not receive any blue cheese or celery. The wings were also on the smaller side. I will definitely be informing my friends and family not to waste their time trying this place. Such a disappointment.

I had organized an event for 25 people at this restaurant. They had initially agreed to host us in the tent area. However, they cancelled on us via text message only 10 days before the event, citing staffing issues. As a business owner myself, I was extremely disappointed by this unprofessional manner of handling cancellations. It is unacceptable to expect people to continue utilizing your services when you cancel in such a disrespectful way.

The wings were fantastic! The staff was friendly and they had a great variety of beers to choose from. One of the representatives from Hamburg Brewery even treated us to a beer when we ordered their beer. It was a pleasant surprise!

Kitchen was open till 10!!! Service was the best I have had in years!!! The food was wonderful!! The chicken wings are some of the best I have in a while and I am from Buffalo where we take our wings seriously!! Try the golden bbq for sure. The burger was outstanding, and the appetizers were all perfect. This will be a spot we return to every time on our trips to Chautauqua Lake!!

Arrived at the nearby campground kinda late on a weeknight. Went to the Green Door for dinner and sat at the bar. I got the special which was an assorted sub but hot. Wifey got shrimp and onion rings. It was delicious. They were very friendly. What a nice end to a long day! Highly recommended.
