Sometimes the situation can be a tad unclear, but if you read a post or two back, you can find it. The owner is a jewel and you can say that he loves his job! Yesterday I had the classic OG cheese and potatoes and The Pollo Del Fuego served with a delicious cup of Chowder. The OG is of course delicious, the potatoes taste like my mother on Thanksgiving. I wish there were more cheese. None of the less fantastic. The Pollo Del Fuego was my favorite part of the meal! It's like a chicken enchilada pierogi style! The heat is good, the chicken is moist, and I loved how it was so easy and effective spiced. Finally, the Chowder! I have to admit, I was not sure what kind of Chowder i in Calm, Mais, etc. . To the best of my knowledge it is like a cross between a New England and Rhode Island style clam chowder. I love it! Typically, a thick New England Chowder warms my heart, but I think this Chowder is superior. Big Ski's Chowder has a light and fresh taste without the bomb of flour and starch as soon as your stomach calms. It's desperately delectable! Every time I went to the truck, I'm happy and full. People work pleasantly and full of personality. You take about 10 minutes to serve your food and for $10 you can complete a full meal and order of Pierogi and a page whether it is finished with Chowder or Kielbasa sausage and onion. I would recommend to anyone looking for a small variety in their food beyond the few Thai and sub par Chinese restaurants around Bend to try Big Ski's Pierogi!
I checked this place. The guy who runs it is a badass and the pierogis are on the point. Can not recommend enough!
I don't have a photo. To die for top quality Pierogi in a great place at GoodLife. If you didn't try Big Ski's, you're seriously missing.
I never had Pierogis! Every time I saw her, they were in the freezer in Canada, haha. The owner is HILARIOUS and makes the whole process a lot of fun. The car is visible from the parking lot, which is great, and the beer-life garden is tidy around while everything is cooked for you. Great service, great food and even better atmosphere! Super cool lunch.
This place is the bomb and I am happy I took a quick detour to grab a bite to eat! The Pierogi are overstuffed pillows of deliciousness smothered in cooked onion and crispy salt pork with a side of sour cream. They offer many varieties besides your traditional fillings. Steak bomb, buffalo chicken and the OG, yes please!
