Chan's Of Bend

My bill came to $29.90, but it should have only been $15.25. I was shocked to find out that my bill was nearly 100% higher than expected! The menu prices listed on Trip Advisor, Google, and Chan's website were all about $50 less than what I was charged at the restaurant. This is truly misleading! When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the manager, he became upset and insisted that it wasn’t their website. However, the site clearly displayed their phone number and restaurant details. As I pressed him further, he became confrontational and stated he wouldn’t pay $200 a month to correct the false information. It seems he’s chosen to ignore the misleading prices advertised on Trip Advisor and Google, despite the negative implications for his business. Additionally, the Chicken and Green Beans in Black Bean sauce were not up to par; the quality of the food was disappointing. Given the manager's unfriendly demeanor, the inaccurate online information, and the subpar food quality, we won't be returning to this restaurant.

We ordered a couple of the #6 combinations and should have asked for an extra plate because there was definitely enough food for four or more people! The price felt a bit high, but considering that we were able to take home another meal, it was worth it!

I visited yesterday after a while and was warmly greeted at the door before being seated right away. The waitress promptly attended to our table, and our food arrived just minutes after we placed our order. It was served hot and delicious. I didn’t even have to request a to-go bag as the waitress was highly attentive. We ended up with enough leftovers for two more meals. Overall, I was very satisfied. Thank you!

Used to love this place and raved to everyone about it. No service for a good 10 minutes. Prices have gone up, food quality and amount has gone down. BBQ pork was overcooked. Dishes came....ordered GINGER cilantro chicken, ZERO ginger, little cilantro; was room temperature, rice smells and tastes 'interesting '; chicken is tough. Highly disappointing after raving about them for years. Server was like, ?‍ I don 't know This is the second time it 's been not good in the last couple months.

If you are looking for some greasy Chinese after drinking (heavily), the portions at Chan's are great for the money. Otherwise, I don't understand how Chan's is rated so highly. We had just cleaned the bathroom and I can still feel oil between my cheeks. The Hot and Sour soup tasted like sour shouyu soup with mushrooms. Ultimately I am trying to figure out what to do with the remains of our meal. I would give it to the guys loitering around the liquor store but I'm not ready to go to prison yet.
