Bendigo Gallery Cafe

While the food was good, the service was unacceptable

FOOD: limited choices for both Breakfast and Lunch. Not a good menu for someone with Chili allergies.SERVICE:the Wait staff were very attentive and extremely helpful and showed much patience with us as we needed extra time to find suitable meals for each person at the table, eventually a solution was found and we all enjoyed our meals.COFFEE: excellent.VALUE: reasonable

On a busy Sunday the service was excellent. Menu, although small covered a wide variety of dishes and was adequate for a light lunch

This was not our first is it to the Gallery restaurant. As a group we travel from Melb at least once a year to exhibitions on the train. Previously we have had lunch at the Gallery cafe and have enjoyed it. However, something has gone awry.Clearly Bendigo is thriving with the clever tourism connected with the Gallery exhibitions. Why then, would the menu be so limited and lacking in creativity
