The menu offers a range of breakfast and lunch options, including daily specials. The atmosphere is relaxed and the wait staff are efficient and friendly. The bread is freshly baked in house. While the restaurant may be located in an industrial area and housed in a tin shed, it is a hidden gem with a cozy and inviting vibe, complete with great music to fill any quiet moments. It's always a great choice for a meal or a coffee break.
Coffee was good.Basic eats were good. Very quiet when l was there. Mid week after 1pm. Seems like a good place to catch with people. A little out of the way, but worth checking it out.
Today I went to the Green Olive Warehouse with my husband, two kids (7 and 3 years old), my best friend and her two kids (2 and 10 months old). We had a wonderful experience. There was only us and one other table in the warehouse so service was no problem. Positives: -kids corner.. while it was simple there were two couches, a rug and a chalkboard, a box of toys for the kids! This kept our four kids entertained while we ate and beyond.-the service was fantastic. The waitress we dealt with was very friendly and extremely understanding with our kids- letting one of our kids take a drink as they were thirsty while we were ordering.. ensuring us the kids are fine and "just let them play. They are fine"-food was delicious and plentiful. My husband and bestie had the fish and chips- hubby is very fussy and he said it was the best he has had in 5 years! I had the chicken caeser salad and it was delicious. The kids had chips and sauce and they were terrific! Great size for the three older kids to share.-funky layout. We are from a small country town and we really enjoyed the layout and look of the warehouse.-coffee was delicious and all our food and drinks came out together so we could all eat together.Negatives--parking.. there was not really anywhere designated to park- this confused us a bit and I had to park in a spot that I was unsure of.-only one piece of chalk for the chalkboard (something very petty but that's how much we liked the place). We can not wait to go back and have a breakfast here next time we are in town and would happily recommend it to others. It was a recommendation to us and we have already told others to go and try it! Great job Green Olive Warehouse! We look forward to eating here again!
I've always loved going to this cafe as food was delicious, service pleasant, parking so easy (because it's a little way out of town centre) but I think it must be under new management as the food is not as tasty & the service not as welcoming as it used to be.We watched as one of the staff used her hand to retrieve ice from the machine to put into a glass to make a 'fresh' juice, she then put her finger on the end of the straw while she poured the juice into the glass!! This was then served to the unwitting customer!! I had ordered an iced coffee, and after witnessing this incident felt like leaving, but another staff member made mine with appropriate hygiene so we stayed, but it has made me reluctant to go back there!Very poor hygiene...she needs to be watched & trained properly in food handling!
Badly understaffed. Just one person taking orders, doing coffee, delivering food/coffee to tables, always a long wait.
