That's why it's great to dine at a Turkish restaurant where the food over a number of visits, has been consistently fresh and tasty with generous servings provided by pleasant staff. My wife enjoyed an open lamb Doner with garlic sauce while I ploughed manfully through a large lamb pizza, both warming meals on a bitingly cold Winter's day. We found our lime and lemon soft drinks a perfect match. This is a clean, warm venue with a clear view for watching passersby. Would highly recommend for a no fuss meal.
My surprise birthday was here. I had booked it for 6 thinking it was only immediate family but it ended up being 16. We are not like some who think their food should be on the table before they get there. We had time to chat and relax so we ordered some dips and bread. It did take some time for them to appear and I had slight reservations about mains, but I was wrong. We were there at lunch time and there were quite a few walk ins for take away, as well as a dozen other table customers. The food began appearing and came out in rapid succession, and it was good! Very generous portions, and not one of us had anything bad to say about the food. There were some minor things that were fixed as soon as we asked but no complaints. Prices are in the middle range of dining and very reasonable for the size of the plate. My family and friends will certainly go back for seconds.I notice some of the complaints mention tables in a take away or very small eating area......perhaps they should think about where they were because there is another Turkish Kitchen which is primarily a take away with very limited space and a few tables!!!
Food is very bland. Not much more on offer than their takeaway choices. No seafood dishes (not even the calamari as per their online menu). Waitresses are confused about what you order even if you have pointed to it on the menu. All in all, it was a lot of money to pay to eat takeaway type food at a table.
We enjoyed a very tasty dinner at this very well presented restaurant. Friendly service staff, excellent variety in the menu and wine list. We particularly liked the lamb and chicken dishes, very tender meat served with delicious salad. Definitely would visit here again.
Ate here with my partner for a quick meal. Shared a dip with Turkish bread and a main of lemon pepper calamari salad with a wedge of lime and a chilli and lime aioli dressing. Salad was fresh and crisp, as was the calamari. The place is licensed so we enjoyed a glass of New Zealand wine to round off the meal. Prompt friendly service and great food. There are lots of prepared food to buy and take home to heat up, eg.calzone, salads, felafel, Turkish bread and rolls, Turkish pizzas and pides, to mention just a few things. Good value for money.
