Good Italian restaurant. Consistently good. Good service A bit noisy. It is a smoking restaurant, which I find annoying. Good pizzas and bruschetta. Cold tea is quite good
After trying quite a bit of delicious Portuguese cuisine, I was ready for some good ol' pizza and Finestra didn't disappoint. Just a short walk from our hotel, this ultra modern pizzaria offered pastas, pizzas, and calzones. Like many Portuguese restaurants they will bring you a couvert, a nice starter that is not complimentary. It will be listed on the menu so you can check the price before you start noshing. If you dont want it, just let the server know and they'll happily take it away. We ordered a pizza, calzone, and salad. Each were delicious. They also offered prosecco by the liter, and you could also get prosecco with a fruit puree blended in. Our server was very helpful and friendly. I'd offer 5 stars but they permittdd smoking inside the restaurant which effected the quality of our experience.
Judging by our fellow patrons on a Sunday evening this is the preferred neighborhood pizza joint. We arrived early by Portuguese standards (7:45) and a stream of families came in starting at 8. Note this IS a smoking establishment (what isn't in Lisbon) but no one really started smoking until 8:45ish. The pizzas themselves are very tasty. Authentic Italian (Florence) style thin crust with a generous helping of toppings. The Calibri (spicy sausage) was scrumptious. The house red wine was also a great value and you can get different sized carafes. Take out/ take away is also available.
Went to this place tonight. The ambience is ok I guess, but it's a bit loud and there's families with kids that run around the place and whatnot (I guess that depends on the kids... and the parents... but it happened tonight at least). Apparently it's always full so it's definitely better to make a reservation. The food though, is pretty good. My friend and I both had pizza. I like that they allow you to choose two different halves on each pizza, so you get to try different flavors within the same pizza. The pizza itself has a thin crust and is pretty yummy. I devoured all of mine (it was my cheat meal, it's ok). We also shared a tiramisu and it was delicious and the perfect end to the meal. It's a little pricey but I think it's justified as it's all fresh and you can tell. The staff were all super nice and efficient.
