The soup was really well made and you could taste the smoky flavour because of the roasting. For starters, we had Jalapeno Poppers and Pav Bhaji Fondue, where in the latter one was one of my favourites here, with the perfectly made Bhaaji. Also had Virgin Mojito to gulp it all down.<br/ <br/ For mains, we had Eggplant Parmisiana, Margherita Pizza and Lasagna. All were really good but the Parmisiana is the best one I ever had, and it is a must try here. <br/ <br/ They have some really good desserts but The Chocolate Cup with Mint Icecream and Lemongrass Creme Bruleé are to die for.<br/ <br/ The service is great, the place is sanitised well with all other safety measures in place. All in all, experience here was really good .
The fat chef Bangalore is a must visit place. It has a great like seating inside, overlooking a garden setup with fountain and structures, and definitely a mesmerising place at night with fairy light. My lunch experience was a memorable one here. Started with pav bhaji fondue (found-you) , and fell in love with it. It was very succulent, flavorful and definitely a must try. Tried cheeseling bhel and really admired it. The jalapeno tartlets had a medium soft crust and good butteryniess. Watermelon and feta rendered a fresh appeal. Mushroom and cream and roasted pumpkin are must. Pepperoni pizza was nicely moist and well baked. Khow sue furnished the right coconut milk flavour and had extra condiments against usual ones for individual taste. Egg parmigiana and lasagna were highlights, cheesy and definitely treat to both eyes and taste buds. Coming to desserts, the mint chocolate cup swayed my mind, it was one of the best mousse ever. Banoffee trifle was another delight, and creme brule brought out a nice gingery touch. Finally cheesecake, to die for, one of the best ever.
Folks staying in and around Whitefield, here is the good news. Our favourite restaurant The Fat Chef is open for dining and delivery. The moment I heard about this news, I could hardly resist to pay a visit. <br/ <br/ Being Cognizant of the fact about the ongoing pandemic, fat chef is ensuring the safety of its customers by taking various safety measures. Sanitisation of hands and temperature checks for customers is mandatory . Apart of these they are also monitoring the temperature of staff in a regular intervals.<br/ <br/ I commenced my meal with roasted pumpkin soup and chicken corn creamy soup. The soups are thick in consistency and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the pumpkin soup because of its subtle and pleasant flavour. Watermelon feta salad stunned me with it’s freshness and taste. The watermelon was quite refreshing and feta cheese tasted so fresh. Another dish that deserves a specific mention is their Pav bhaji found-u. This dish was absolutely yummy and definitely urge you to order more n more. The bhaji tasted quite flavoursome with a perfect balance of Indian flavours with a continental touch.<br/ <br/ Fish fingers with mustard dip is a must try if you are a sea food lover. Fish fingers are less oily, fresh and tasty. The mustard dip accompanied with fish fingers was heavenly. Talking about the main course , I would like to mention about their eggplant parmigiana first. The amount of cheese and perfectly baked eggplant was an absolute bliss. It was nicely placed on a flawlessly cooked bed of spaghetti. Guys this is a must try. Veg lasagna and Sindhi style kadi chawal are truly worth trying. The kadi chawal served here is of Sindhi style which has a crispy samosa. I tasted that combination for first time and absolutely loved it.<br/ <br/ Lemongrass flavoured Creme brûlée is another innovation which turned to be a fabulous dessert. The flavour of lemon grass was so subtle and tasted heavenly. Irish cream and mint chocolate cup looks quite fancy and tasted great. Their New York cheesecake is undeniably one of the best in city.<br/ <br/ The staff are super polite and wearing face shield, mask gloves while serving. Overall my recent dining experience at the Fat chef has been great. Do not hesitate to visit this amazing place as it’s absolutely safe and worth visiting.
<br/ I visited this quaint and cosy place called The Fat Chef in Whitefield to satisy my dining out cravings and came out all satisfied and grinning . Also kicking myself for not visiting the place sooner. <br/ <br/ At the entrance, they did the now normal and mandatory temperature check and hand sanitization. The staff was wearing masks and gloves and the place looked spick and span. Tremendous efforts being made to keep the place up and running without any compromise whatsoever. They also have kept a board outside mentioning a long list of safety measures in place. It is quite reassuring for a customer.<br/ <br/ Ambiance : One word to best describe the vibe is, relaxed. You can sit down, enjoy your cup of freshly brewed coffee or sip on a glass of wine while enjoying the delectable fare from the numerous cuisines they have to offer. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. You have lush green creepers on the outside which shuts you from the cacophony on the streets outside. <br/ <br/ FOOD : I tried various dishes and would give a detailed review with special mention to the unmissables. I got to know they have the same staff for almost more than a decade, which is why they have such stronghold on their menu.<br/ <br/ Drinks : The place actually has an insane wine collection, including many imported ones , which is sadly not available as of now due to the govt guidelines. However, you can purchase them to take along. We, therefore ordered the watermelon ice tea and the virgin mojito. They were refreshing and pefect to set the mood.<br/ <br/ Salads : We had the watermelon and feta cheese salad. Vibrant , fresh and light. Do not miss this.<br/ <br/ Soups : Tried a couple of soups, roasted pumpkin with parmesan and creamy corn and chicken. Both the soups were beautifully prepared, however I am partial to the pumpkin one. It was too good.<br/ <br/ Starters : Tried many dishes in the starters, as elucidated below:<br/ <br/ Jalapeno Poppers and Chicken Tartlets: They came in a tart shell which was extremely soft and just melted in the mouth. The tartness of Jalapenos carried it amazingly well.<br/ <br/ Fish Fingers: A dish you can bet on to be good. Fish was fresh and well fried. The mustard sauce gave it the kick it needed.<br/ <br/ Pav Bhaji Fondue : It was terrific. The bhaji was toothsome. Here is one place that has got the pav bhaji flavour bang on. Must have.<br/ <br/ Cheeselings : Its a modern take on the peanut masala with the cheeselings replacing the peanuts. A nice munching snack which came on a cute bicycle.<br/ <br/ Main Course: Main course included chicken pepperoni pizza, margherita pizza, veg lasagna , chicken Burmese khow suey, and eggplant parmigiana. Everything was nicely done. Special mention to the eggplant parmigiana. It was insanely good, the eggplant had that quintessential burnt flavour. A standout dish.<br/ <br/ Desserts : We savoured many dishes in the desserts choco lava cake, blueberry cheesecake, Irish cream and mint chocolate cup , banoffee trifle and lemongrass crème brûlée . Everyone had their own favourites, but I liked the lemongrass crème brûlée. It was creamy and had a very subtle hint of lemongrass.<br/ <br/ Overall, it was a pretty satisfying lunch to say the least. The staff was prompt and attentive . Even the owner , Vandana was very gregarious and hands on with everything. Visit the place with your friends and family. Its open for dine in and has all the safety measures in place. And the food is top notch. Recommended.
Yes FatChef Is Open, for delivery and yeah you had to believe that this is the first time am ordering from them. Yes it’s been almost 8 years since I moved to bangalore and yes, never tried them before, surprising isn’t it. A friend in my apartment complex recommended that I try, and I was quiet surprised by the food that was served. Since then, I have been going Gaga over the recent food experience i had with The Fat Chef here on Varthur Road. <br/ <br/ The Barbecue Style Chicken wings were a perfect starter to the wonderful meal, loved the smoky sweetness of the sauce-drenched, delicious chicken wings, perfect to turn any house party from boring to awesome,<br/ <br/ The Panko Crusted Fish Chips @thefatchef_blr That I Recently Got Delivered To Home was an absolute delight, the whole family loved it. The fish was extremely fresh, beautifully Panko crusted and wonderfully cooked to perfection. It was a good portion with loads of chips. While my family would have preferred the more traditional tartare sauce, But I am big ON for the wasabi mayo with which it was served, fabulous. Maybe The Fat Chef should give an option among the two for the traditionalists.<br/ <br/ So when I was choosing what to order for mains for me, The Pepper Steak came up, and it was highly recommended by a friend too. Well, I wasn’t disappointed, it was a deliciously cooked piece of chicken breast in a sauce that was just right. But first, I loved the individual packaging of the mashed potatoes and veggies that made them all the more enjoyable. The chicken packed quiet a punch with that delicious sauce. The sauce was mild hot, juicy chicken, absolutely lovely mash and the veggies grilled to perfection, overall an amazing dish, throughly enjoyed and highly recommended from The Fat Chef. <br/ <br/ Absolutely Loved the mains and then a special appearance by their Watermelon Basil Sangria happened. Ending the day with this watermelon basil sangria was an absolute bliss. The sweetness of the watermelon was beautifully cut by the sharp basil punch, it’s a match perfectly soaked in heaven.<br/ <br/ I must confess, I only got to take a few bits off this delicious chicken burger, as It was my daughter’s meal, I managed to get a few bites and I absolutely loved it. The patty was very meaty, wonderfully cooked, minimally spiced, perfectly seasoned between the large burger buns. The only downside for my daughter was it wasn’t saucy with a mayo smothered, gooey, messy burger. And that’s exactly why I liked it, there were no distractions for me between the the bun the meat, easily chopped of a few bites without messing myself up<br/ <br/ I must definitely mention about the packaging, it was impeccable, with no spills or breakages, simple yet effective packing, delivered On Time, this restaurant is a must try and comes highly recommend, it’s currently open only for delivery.<br/ <br/ More recently ordered their Kutchi Memon Style Mutton Biriyani, Absolutely fabulous Biriyani, deliciously cooked meat, beautifully cooked rice and that masala, fabulous. A really great mutton Biriyani that they whole family absolutely devoured, actually took me back to the Biriyanis am used to while growing up in Chennai. The meat was not that, fall of the bone type, but it was just perfectly and beautifully cooked, firm, and delicious. One extra tomato, the Biriyani could have easily become tomato rice, so it was that perfect balance of tomatoes to onions, to meat, everything was just perfect and well balanced, which is extremely difficult to perfect. Not spicy at all, with no visible green chillies, but great flavours.<br/ <br/ Overall The Fat Chef is highly recommended in this part of town, fabulous menu, superb flavours, and now that they are open for Dine In, am gonna visit them soon.
