I recommend reservation because the place is small and fills quickly.
First of all, we were at this place a few times before we disagree with the other assessments concerning food quality. That's why we stopped to dinner tonight, but we were not aware of the new service policy. our waitress gave us no sign that we have to wait until an hour to get our food, even though there were empty tables when we came in. as we had to wait after 30 minutes to see 2 dinge, we do not really know how long it took to serve. and after the waitress we were rude because we came in their restaurant hungry with a reasonable expectation of the service. first we saw a few sitting next to us who had been there for a while before we arrived, ignored by the waitress who was quick to tell us their problems, how hard she worked not to get her food. secondly, what we saw were men who were served immediately. in the time we sat there, this was probably 10 times happy. After I saw this for a past, I asked how our order was coming from the waitress told that it was not started because the kitchen was so busy. I then asked what's going on, how come people to foot to be served immediately. it turns out that they have a new policy to regularly take care of local customers who will show phone in their orders then for almost instant service. by now go to customers like us, or new customers like the people next to us, waiting to sit while being ignored by the waitress. While this can make sense at a level to serve the local tribes, it is not possible to treat people who are new or just to go to eat with a reasonable expectation of the service. we had a reasonable expectation, no warning, for the first 30 minutes, of what was going on. when we found out what happened that our food wasn't even started, we left. the waitress made us sure how rude we were. we were on the way in the last 3 weeks at 50 or so different places. to no time we have experienced this type of service stop. Maybe the people who work here need to get out a little more. new customers must beware of this should not be of what they see when they go into.
We made a reservation for a table of 6 about an hour before arriving. The special of the day was steak and shrimp, and it was delicious! Our server, Chelsey, was very efficient and we had a wonderful time. The deep-fried cheesecake that was comped for our celebration was also delicious!
Had a trip with the family to check the over buffalo transition. eating was amazing many good choices. the meals we had were freshly prepared. hours are a bit irritating, so I would call to confirm exactly hours as they are open...later but since there is a way away, I would make sure. will they have visited again?
This is a delightful restaurant. It is understated on the outside and simply decorated on the inside, but the food is top notch. The server was attentive, the restrooms were clean always a litmus test for me! and the food was fairly priced and delicious. You...are greeted outside by an old black lab who is gentle as a lamb. However, if you spot the little beagle type dog outside, beware. It sunk its teeth into the calf of my jeans, pinched the skin and almost knocked me over. Ten pounds of hurtling dog in a surprise hit to the back of the knees was not what I was expecting!
