I had a mixed yakimeshi (damaged served, half empty) and a teriyaki tepanyaki. have both eaten better in other restaurants. the service was very slow. we had to wait long for our courts, unattended. I had to get a beer three times and my maindish came almost cold after more than 35 minutes. has not left a tipp. toilets can and upgrade and some repairs.
One of the few places in the neighbourhood, which was open on a Friday night, we took one and had the teppanyaki. eating was cooked to perfection, very good service, all in all it was a great experience. I'm going back. each time
It 's a very nice place, if somewhat dated in an 80 's style, the quality of the food and value/price cannot be beat, the yakitori are prepared in the traditional bar food style from Japan and the choices are exotic for some but very good. The...tempura was perfect, we did not have any sushi... the tepanyaki was very well prepared. If you want a solid choice for Japanese food without any of the confusing Mexican-Japanese concoctions this is your place.
We had a very nice family dinner in el samurai. the service was excellent and the eating and tepanyaki show was also very good!
We have visited this place since many years ago, but now we saw it like could use a really good update. We went to a Teppanyaki table and waited for the cook a long time. It seemed they had only two cooks and a full...place. And the food was not so good like other occasions. So... well, they had better times.
