My husband raved about the fish Veracruz! He absolutely loved it. My breaded chicken breast was okay. Guacamole was good but the rice was not very tasty. Friend's shrimp was good but the rest of her plate (veggies and rice), unimpressive. Prices were very reasonable. Friendly staff.
ABSOLUTLEY DELCIOUS! Between the five of us we had the fried fish fillet, the whole fish a la plancha, quesadillas (for our vegetarian friend), and an order of fish ceviche. No body left disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is friendly and fast!
We had the most tender octopus in the ceviche. It was so fresh and delicious. The waiter even set us up with a snorkeling trip. He actually had someone come to the restaurant and talk to us about it. He also squeezes fresh limes for the margaritas.
My wife and I plus another couple dined here earlier this month. We had been exploring the area and came upon Puerto Morelos, and La Casa del Pescadoro was the first seafood restaurant we came upon. It is in the town square and about 100 meters from the ocean. The restaurant is small and located on the second floor overlooking the square. Furnishings are simple and rustic... nothing too elegant here. We ordered a variety of seafood dishes from whole grouper fish to garlic shrimp.Overall, the food was not bad, but nothing special. The total tab for lunch, including an appetizer, drinks and tip came to less than $40 US for the 4 of us. In case you forget that the standard tip is 10%, the hired help will remind you.
