The waiter is very pleasant. The garlic cheese curds are plentiful and delicious! Big hit with the little ones. The onion rings had too much wobble on them and did not taste very well. The burgers are huge and tasty, but 1/2 lb is too big. The onion soup is good, but very salty.

Quintessentially local New England... the kind of place that defines Southern Vermont. A mish-mash of locals, travelers and retires all around the bar about everything that corresponds to the civilized conversation. Up with a kitchen that serves some of the best homemade burgers, and a generous pouring at the bar and you are sure to have a pleasant and entertaining repast.

Ruben Sandwich was pretty good. I just think it would have been better to cut the pinned beef thinner. Service was great in the Tavern. I'd like to see you again.

Great atmosphere. The food was delicious and very cheap.. Waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. When we left the restaurant, my son's girlfriend forgot her dog bag. The waitress actually came to the street to give her. This is the service.

Great food and service when we stopped last weekend. Street parking was busy, but there was plenty of room inside on a Saturday evening with both bar area seating and a separate room for restaurant seating. I had the roast beef wrap special which was so big that I saved half for lunch the next day. My dining companion said the mushroom burger was the best burger she ever had. Excellent fries. We will be back when in the area again.
